Food and Beverage Industry - Spain
Total revenue in 2017 for the food and beverage sector in Spain has surpassed $110 billion. Exports reached $31 billion and once again exceeded its record consolidating Spain in the 10th position in the world export ranking.
Catalonian exports to the United Arab Emirates quadrupled between 2010 and 2014, and last year Spanish exports to the United States increased 20%.
Meat and pork products are still the most exported, followed by olive oil, fish, canned fish, and wine. Other products include canned vegetables, bakery, milk and dairy products, and olives.
By implementing innovation and new production systems, the food and beverage industry is becoming year after year the first industrial sector in Spain.
